Taken somewhere on the 1300 block of Grant Ave. in San Francisco. Again, the camera exposed for the blue sky, leaving the building and fire escape woefully underexposed. Without masking (which I am loathe to do), the building cannot be brought out of shadow without blowing out the sky.
The moral here is that photography is in many ways a science. Applying known principles to predict certain results is key to success. Wandering around snapping photos in crappy light guarantees failure, with the only success brought through luck alone.
