The Disney Concert hall lies on the corner of Grand Avenue and 1st Street, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The building displays the typical Frank Gherry-designed flowing lines, a style not possible until the advent of composite construction techniques. It is a beautiful building, in a completely different fashion than the more traditional buildings found elsewhere in downtown L.A.
It's illuminating to compare the building to the Griffith Observatory, found elsewhere in my gallery.
